"Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2007" federal poster was signed into law May 25, 2007, by President George W. Bush. The Federal minimum wage increased from $5.15 an hour to $5.85 an hour effective July 24, 2007, $6.55 an hour effective July 24, 2008, and $7.25 an hour effective July 24, 2009. All three minimum wage rates and updated enforcement provisions will be included on the new mandatory posting notice, required for all U. S. employers. All employers are required by law to post the new notice explaining the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) "in conspicuous places in every establishment" effective July 24th, 2007. [C.F.R., Title 29, Part 516.4].
